Cruise Stop Positano

Thank you so much for all the replys. I think I will make a reservation at a restaurant and have us all meet there. We should be able to get a bus or ferry to take us to Positano. If anyone has done this before, let me know how doable it is. We'll be there in two weeks!

Maybe Oceania would know the answer. Have you contacted them?

Cruise ships are a lot like airplanes in that there are often multi gates (docks) if the port is small then they are probably dock at the same place. It would probably would be easier for your friends to find you and wait for you just outside the first check point (for them). Oceania is a smaller ship and Positano a small port (as I remember) so it should be easy to find.

Donna, We were in Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi when Oceania cruiseships came into port. They moored out and tendered people ashore at each location. So there are smaller docks that the hydofoils tie up to and that is where the passengers were tendered. Positano's water front isn't that big so they should be able to find it easily. We leave for Bella Italia this afternoon. Ciao, Sherry

If the stop is listed as Positano or Amalfi, Oceania anchors and tenders in to Amalfi if weather permits. If they can't anchor for some reason, they go to Sorrento and tendr or dock in Naples instead. You may not know which until that morning so plan on Aalfi, but make back up plans just in case.
