Creche purchased in Rome, electric conversion

When we were in Rome last January I bought a beautiful creche/nativity set at one of the Christmas markets. It has a little waterfall built into it, and a 2 prong plug. Now that I am thinking ahead to the holidays, I need some help knowing how to make it work here at home. It is 2.5 watts, 50 hertz, and has the Italian type 2 round prongs. Can anyone help me with what type adapter/converter I need. Everything I have found is for traveling to Europe with American appliances. I need just the opposite!

Radio Shack has step up converters. You can order by catalogue if a location is not nearby. You can also Google 250W Grounded Step Up Converter and find many options. Here's one of Radio Shack's suggestions: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2104184 There are less expensive options on the web. I have a Step Up Converter stored in my son's garage in Atlanta as we have a couple of European products (non-dual voltage) we use here and then carry to the States when we're visiting.

If it were only a light, you could simply change out the cord end and have no issues. However, since you mention a waterfall, there must be some type of motor or pump in there, which is a potential issue. You could try opening it up, if possible, and see if the there is a label that says something like "120/240 V", meaning it is dual voltage and the cord end can be changed, or a simple adapter used. Otherwise, for peace of mind, you can go the converter route mentioned above.
