Hi every!
I found an apartment to rent on Craigslist, and I saw on the Graffitti Wall that others have stayed at properties owned by this same exact person - Giuseppe Amoro. I am looking at the one near the Campi dei Fiori area. Everyone that posted had favorable experiences, but unfortunately, I need more comments... and pictures... and a Google Maps 360 degree street view before I get on the bandwagon :-)
Can anyone out there help me?

Do you have the link to the craigslist posting? I have been burned by people offering rentals on there before. Not saying this is the case, but it would be beneficial to see what the posting looks like.

If it sounds too good to be true....it probably is. Especially considering it's Italy and it seems that everyone wants to make a fast buck off an unsuspecting tourist. Personally, I would stay away from an individual advertising such a thing. It would be better if you booked through an agency that specializes in vacation apartment rentals. But, do your homework... If others have had good experiences working with this person, then it probably will be OK. Just make sure that what others think is a good accommodation jives with what your expectations are.

We rent through vrbo (vacation rental by owner) and have never had a problem. I'd stay away from craigslist. Too many scams.
