We will be bringing a CPAP machine with us so we need to buy distilled water. Big trouble finding it in France last year. Even the pharmacist gave me incorrect information.
Where would I buy it? Pharmacy, grocery store or elsewhere? What is it called in Italian?
We are staying by the S. Silvestre vaporetto stop.
I always use regular tap water and then just clean with a descaler when I get home.
We have easily bought distilled water( acqua distillada) all over Italy. It is sold in small markets and grocery stores in the laundry product section as it is used in irons. We found in sizes smaller than in US such a quart.
A friend found it in pharmacies, but grocery stores are cheaper. Look for an image of a steam iron on the container.
It won't be in big gallon jugs like you're used to at home. It will probably be in a liter size. You should find it in pharmacies or in grocery stores, but not with the drinking water.
