Do we need covid vax card for train?
You did a few months ago (at least the fast trains, ones that you need a reserved seat) It may be different now, things have relaxed, but like the old commercial said, "don't travel without it"
No you don’t.
I'm in Italy now (left the US on May 25, flew from Orlando to Rome). I had to upload my vaccine card to my airline's app (American Airlines uses Verifly) before I left. Other than that, no one has asked for it. Not on arrival into FCO, nor anywhere else in the country. I actually stopped carrying it with me now that the requirement has expired.
I was in Italy the first two weeks of May. My vax card was not requested anywhere. I did need proof of vax to check into my flights, but I did all of that electronically.
I did see the K-95 / FFP 2 mask mandate enforced on trains. I've read that some people have not. However, I accidentally wore a blue surgical mask the first time I tried to board a train and they made me change it to the K-95. It wasn't a problem as I had some with me and they are readily available.
No need for vaccine cards but we have been on 3 trains and all of them have been very strict on the FFP2 face masks.
