We are planning a trip to Italy in April and May. Does anyone have first hand experience with finding testing that meets the requirements for reentry to the USA in Florence? I know about the kits that we can buy and bring but I’m wondering if that’s necessary.
Thanks in advance.
My husband and I traveled to Florence in November. We took the Covid test required by the U.S. at a pharmacy near the Duomo. The name is Farmacia Astrua - Valore Salute. You will need to make an appointment. The test and printout takes about 15 - 20 minutes. I believe we paid 25 euros per person. They were very nice and knew exactly what test we needed. Depending on where you stay in Florence, the front desk of your hotel can make an appointment for you.
I decided against the proctored kits because I didn't want to carry it around and hope that I can figure it out. I wanted to keep it easy for my husband.
Happy Travels!
