COVID testing requirements-- Connecting flight country's or Italy's?

Hi All-
Hoping for a bit of wisdom on this one from the collective. Late March: ORD-->CDG, CDG-->VCE.

Upon entry am I subject to 1) France's COVID testing requirements at CDG, 2) Italy's COVID testing requirements at VCE or 3) both?

Side question: does anyone have tips on what kind of at-home rapid test brands are useful to use as proof of negativity?
