As Covid seems to be running rife through the UK, has anyone noticed random Covid testing of passengers arriving at Italian airports from the UK?
It would be bit disappointing to be an asymptomatic positive and end up isolating for the duration of your stay!

Just got back from the RS HOI 9 day tour, no visible evidence this was being done at Fiumicino...
I think what has been seen throughout the pandemic is that every country will state they reserve the right to test, at the height, I believe some were randomly testing, but on here and on other forums, I do not recall anyone saying they were pulled aside and tested. I did witness people randomly pulled aside, asked about any exposure, vaccination cards checked, etc. I believe they are also using infrared cameras in places, looking for people with elevated temperatures.
