This is echoing similar easing of mask rules in other parts of the world. We still had on masks earlier this week for the South Africa-to-England flight (required, although many people failed to fully comply), and kept them on for the England-to-USA flight home. With negative test results no longer required some places (which are a greater burden than sporting a mask at the airport and onboard), some countermeasure still feels helpful, and still wearing a mask wasn’t such a big deal. Maybe things are looking up in the EU, so the revised policy just reflects that.
Even more so, I’m keeping a close eye on the easing of the exchange rate of the euro vs. the dollar - now just $1.04 to the euro, as of this morning!
Yes, I read the same thing. Very excited we’re flying to Italy on May 19th.
