Hey everyone I’m in Palermo and just booked a flight with Ryan air to Milan, on the 10th. I heard Ryan air can be a bit wonky to fly with so I’ve spent some time making sure I understand everything. One thing I noticed is that on my boarding pass, it makes it clear that I haven’t uploaded any Covid documents. It takes me to a page that shows two forms to fill out. One is kind of odd and doesn’t make much sense to me. Has anyone flown within Italy very recently and did you have to show any kind of documentation? I thought we were basically done with this kind of stuff, especially for a domestic flight. Also, I’m a Canadian citizen and have been in Italy for over two weeks. Thanks!
I flew RyanAir last September (Rome-Palermo and Catania-Naples) and at that time a vaccination card was required for travel on flights and some trains. You may be seeing some general statements indicating you need to meet the requirements of the country you are flying in...without really telling you what, if any, requirements there are...sort of boilerplate type statements.
We did not upload anything, showed our vac. card to get into the terminal, at check-in, and at boarding, but that was all. Since then, Italy has dropped some requirements, so I doubt anything new was added.
There are no longer such requirements to fly currently in Italy.
Proof of vaccination or negative test (Green Pass) is required only to visit hospitals and nursing homes.
