Countryside tours from Venice

Hi, everyone.

I'm looking for recommendations of countryside tours from Venice.

As the foodie in the family, I've found a lot of day trips for myself, from Venice to, for example, the prosecco region, or for cooking tours. However, it has been hard finding tours or transfers for a family with young children.

We're particularly interested in a multi-night stay at a countryside agritourismo, farm stay, or similar family-friendly lodging, basically to just relax and take in the surroundings. (We wouldn't have a car.) Of course, if there are options to visit nearby sites that would be great too.

Thanks for the help!

What are the ages of the group? How many people total? How many nights do you want to spend in the countryside? Are you open to using public transportation (train/bus) to travel there, or part way there? What time of year? Budget? Are you flying home from Venice or continuing to other areas?

Five total including the kids, ages 2-5. I'd say 3-7 nights in the countryside. Yes, open to public transportation to travel there, however, wasn't sure how far I could get via that method. Likely flying home from Venice but open to other options. late-June/July.

If you use the search function for agritourismo, you’ll see tons of results. Here is one:

You could travel most of the way there by train. Then you would need a transfer service or two taxis to get you the remaining distance. A car (or minivan in your case) would be ideal for exploring the country. Most of these places are not near the cities so you need some kind of transportation. But if you just want to hang out at the pool for a few days, that’s an option.

Your biggest challenge is that literally everyone and their mom is traveling to Europe this summer, since it’s the first year with no Covid restrictions. You’ll need to book quickly.

Thanks, I"ll check that out.
It's not for this summer, but for 2024. I'm an early planner.
