My husband and I will be staying in Siena for 3 nights next June. We are not renting a car but would like to be able to see some of the surrounding countryside, along with maybe another village and wine tour. I would love to have the opportunity to photogragh some of the typical Tuscany/Chianti regions. RS recommends a couple of tour companies in his guidebooks. We are staying at Albergo Bernini and they work with and will set up tours for us with a company called mytours.it. I would love to hear if anyone out there has ever used this company and your recommendations. Thanks!

In October we thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Roberto Bechi of Tours By Roberto, a RS pick. Roberto picked us up at our Siena B&B, took us to a lovely small (by Chianti standards) family winery, then to an ancient and historical village. After a fabulous lunch in the countryside, we toured an Etruscan tomb site. Roberto (and Anna, his assistant) also do a wineries-only tour. Go to their website and pick the itinerary that works for you. The first person to select a date gets to pick the tour, then others can sign up to join you, to a maximum of 8 people.
