My husband and I will be arriving at the Naples airport on a Saturday at about 5 PM-6 PM. We will need to take a tax to a destination which is in the Vomero section of Naples but not in the city center. Does anyone know how much a taxi should cost per kilometer? I understand there's some sort of extra charge for our checked bags, but not for our carry-ons which we could put in the taxi with us. I have tried, but cannot find a site which addresses the cost per kilometer of the taxi. Do different companies charge different amounts? Any advice would be much appreciated.

The flat fee taxi fare from the airport to the Vomero district is €23.

If your carryons are luggage and not personal-item size, you may be asked to put them in the trunk of the taxi (my experience), but daypacks and other personal-item size bags are fine to go inside the taxi.

Thanks Roberto and Zoe. Roberto, do you happen to know if the €23 charge includes an airport surcharge? Either way, we're happy to know there is a flat rate to the Vomero district, and what it is.
