I have no idea what this could cost! I want to see Turk's Grotto in Gaeta but looks like there is no train service. Does anyone know if there are buses (even though I hate buses) or taxi service? Approx how much would a taxi be for 5 miles? Thanks!

You are much more likely to find a bus service out there than a taxi. It wouldn't be your usual city bus, but one of those blue ones with two seats on each side of the aisle. I have no idea how much a taxi would cost, but I imagine the problem will be finding one rather than paying for it. For five miles I would just take the bus.......

I'm sure a taxi wouldn't break the bank, but you may be better served by the frequent bus service.

I dont know how old the information is, but it gives you a pretty decent idea of how frequent the Orange bus service is from Formia to Gaeta.
Formia is a transportation hub in the area because it is on the Rome-Naples line - so it should be pretty easy to get to the surrounding towns and vice versa.
