I am looking to rent an apt in the Amalfi Coast (Positano to be exact) for two weeks and have noticed a lot of the apts/villas charge Euro 0,50 KW/h for electricity. Has anyone rented an apt on the Amalfi coast and paid for electricity that could tell me about how much total that would cost me per week?

I rented an apartment in Positano in 2005, but we were not charged for electricity. I have rented lots of apartments and houses in my travels and have never been charged for electricity. maybe it is something new. I have been charged for heat though.

Yeah, looks like a lot of places in the Amalfi coast are charging for electricity. I found some places where it's included in the price, but I found this beautiful little apt in the hills of Positano for a good price, but they charge for electric. The agent says it's about Euro 50/60 for a 2 week period but not sure if that's really accurate. I don't want to rent it and be surprised with some Euro 500 bill!
