Are there any safety concerns in this area

Chris, I've never been to Cosenza, but have never heard of any special "safety concerns" in that area. I imagine it will be much the same as other Italian towns and cities. Wear a Money Belt and practice "the usual" precautions and hopefully you won't have any problems. You might find it helpful to contact This Tour Company as they may be able to assist you with problem-free touring in that area. Happy travels!

We have only driven through Cosenza on our way to Nicastro in Lamezia Terme also in Calabria. We have traveled in this area for 32 years and never had any problems or safety concerns. Buon viaggio,
