We were in Cortona for a day trip in Sept 2013. It was on a Sunday, and we stumbled upon a large swap meet throughout the town, that was amazing.
Does anyone know if this is an ongoing event there? We are going again this October and will happen to be there on a Sunday again.

Could be. We were there the 4th Sunday Sept 2013. Just lucked out I guess. We will be there the 1st Sunday this trip.
Charlie, you might be there for the once-a-month antique market in Arezzo. You can Google for the timing. It was impressively large when I stumbled on it in June 2015. I believe it falls early in month.
