Cortona - Rick's recommendation Casa Betania - no response to emails

I have been tried to telephone Casa Betania (the convent) for accommodations for several days and get no answer. I had emailed them 3 times and got no response. Does anyone know what is going on or has anyone stayed there recently? We want to stay 4 days in May there and are eager to get the reservation set. Thanks for help. Julia in Vermont

Julia, I don't have a definite answer for you, but wondered if they perhaps close for a month or so in the winter? Regarding the E-mails, perhaps there's a language issue?
