I am traveling to Cortina from Venice by train. I suppose I may need to take a bus for part of the trip. What is the best route by train /bus to get from Cortina to Milan?

Lynne, For the trip from Cortina d'Ampezzo to Milano, this is the route I'd probably use: > Local Bus from Cortina to Calalzo. I don't have many details on the Bus, but I'm sure the "locals" will be able to give you information on times and costs. I believe the ride is about an hour. > Train from Calalzo to Milano. There's a departure at 08:12, arriving Milano Centrale at 13:55 (time 5H:43M, one change in Padova, reservations compulsory on the last leg). Happy travels!

Thanks Ken. This is very helpful as it is my last leg of my whirlwind trip through Italy. Much more planning ahead for April/May trip.

Lynne, Cortina d'Ampezzo is a bit "off the beaten track". That's a destination we don't hear about too often here on the HelpLine.
