Cortina dAmpezzo after knee surgery

I will be in Cortina (Dolomites) with a small group of hikers from September 6 - 10 2019, and in Alta Badia for 10 -14th. We are in our early 60s.
We planned the trip in January and I’ve been so exited.
BUT, I had to have arthroscopic knee surgery for torn meniscus a few weeks ago. So I can’t do the hikes, which are 6 - 10 miles long with steep ascents & descents.

I would be deeply grateful for Any recommendations on places to visit: cafes, museums, planetariums, observatories, music, bookstores, shopping, etc.
Also, any Scenic spots for a picnic, or flattish hikes.
I won’t have a car.
Many, many thanks.

There are many cable cars you can take around Cortina: the one to Cima Tofana (3,200 m elevation) is the most impressive, straight from Cortina. There's also Lagazuoi (2,700 m) accessed by bus from Cortina. Minimal walking involved.
Otherwise, it is a pleasure to stroll around Cortina, with plenty of cafés along Corso Italia in particular.

Can't advise about Alta Badia however.
