Corfu, Malta, and Puglia July 19 - 29th

3 independent Travelers aged 16, 50, 80. Just trying to get to new adventures. Can’t find any Rick Steve info on Malta or Corfu. Do you know of any? Or any other good sources.

What would be the best place to start and what direction to take?

We like mixing splurges with economy. Historical and outdoor splendor. I am sure to have more questions.

Looking forward to responses, Kate

I would start by checking how to travel between these three places- I'm not sure if there are direct flights between them? With only ten days you might spend a lot of time in transit. You might want to focus on just the Ionian islands, or just Malta, or just southern Italy.

Not enough time for these three in 10 days, Malta is the outlier, drop that. You can take a ferry between Puglia (Bari or Brindisi) and Corfu.

There are plenty of good sources of info online and also guidebooks. Rick Steves doesn't have the monopoly of information.

For that short length of time I'd go to Puglia only, 10 days isn't even enough for that. Puglia is huge.

Corfu and Malta need at least 3 nights each. But if you insist in going here is the way:
To go to Corfu you can take a ferry from Brindisi (about 7 hours each way) or you can fly Volotea airlines from Bari (seasonal flight only).
Malta is far, but you can fly there also from Bari with RyanAir.

Ten days is a short time to even cover a sample of Puglia..

Maybe mix a beach town in the Gargano with a town in the Itria Valley....and then one place in Salento.

I recommend renting a car, without question, especially in July..
