Copies Of Rail Passes

Do I need to make copies of all my railpasses and rail reservation tickets? Is there an easier way to handle this with less paperwork? Thanks for help!

Grace, I've never bothered to make copies of Railpasses or tickets. I'm not sure that copies would be useful, as only the original documents can be used for travel. If you're travelling with a Laptop or Netbook, you could scan or photograph the documents, and pack the PDF or photo files along. Happy travels!

All of my rail reservations have either come to me as emails, or the train company sent me a copy in an email (with all pertinent info). If you're traveling with a phone/tablet device, you could simply take a screen shot of the info. Of course, keep all relevant emails, preferably in their own folder (Europe Tickets - 2012, for instance). I would snap a photo of my tickets/railpasses and either save them as a screen shot, and/or send them to myself as an email. If you lose them, you still have the info to file a claim, reprint them, whatever. Or, just take the paper copies with you ;-) I know; they're heavy!
