Coopculture Question

Im just dotting my i's:

I plan to get tickets at 1am mountain time Monday June 19 for July tickets. Surveying the coop culture website, there are two ticket options for the tour; one is "free" and costs 2 euro, and one is regular and costs 11 euro. Because my husband and I will have Roma passes, am I right that the "free" tour tickets are for our children - 9, 12, and 14 - and then I get two of the full priced tickets for us?

Also, when I look at the website for June dates (just to see how it works), the times next to June dates have red squares next to them - Im thinking this indicates that the date/time is sold out (which it would be for June), but when I go into the site for July tickets, will the squares be clear? Green? Or still red?
Also when I look at sold-out June dates, when I click on the place where you select number of tickets, it currently offers only 0 - Im guessing this is bc they are sold out and there will be more numbers in the drop-down menu?

I want to know what to expect because not only are we doing this in the middle of the night, and Ive read it can take hours, but we are doing it the in the middle of the night before we leave for Paris at 6am! Im trying to make the process as Reserving-Tickets-for-Dummies as I can ;)

Thank you,
Jessica

Jessica,
Which Roma Pass will you have?

The 72 hour Pass entitles you to free admission to your first two sites and discounts at other sites, plus unlimited public transportation. Having said this, most people choose the most expensive sites; the Colosseum an Borguese Gallery (reservations required).
I'm confused as to why you're trying to buy tickets to the Colosseum if you plan to buy the Roma Pass.

Ack, Im talking about getting tickets for TOUR of the underground and 3rd tier at the Colosseum with coop culture. Yes, I will have the Roma pass for the entrance to the Colosseum that is required with the tour ticket...

The romapass has nothing to do with tours. It's simply an entry pass. If you're trying to book the underground tour you'll book the full priced 9 euros tour. Those tickets are not available yet. The tickets you mention in your first post are entry tickets. If you have the romapass you have no need of entry tickets, your pass is your ticket.

June tickets sold out within hours of their release. I expect, if they continue the tour, that July's tickets will sell out quickly as well. When you get to the page where you choose your time if there is a green box with a number that will be the number of slots still available for that tour. A red box means they are sold out.

I may be incorrect, but I think you will need to book tickets for the Colosseum's underground and third ring tour for your children too.
There is free entrance to the Colosseum for children less than 18 years of age but not for the tour you want to take.

Make sure you take your children's passports, when visiting museums and sites, as you may need to show them to prove their ages.

I've not used the coopculture.it website, but I presume the squares will be green if there are tickets available for the date & time you wish.

Hopefully others who have booked tickets on the coopculture website recently will give you more detailed information.

Enjoy your time in Rome!

Oh my gosh, I must have really messed up on that first post.

Donna - I know the June tours are sold out and I know the Roma pass has nothing to do with tours. Sorry I was so unclear.

What I would like to know is, when I go to purchase TOUR tickets (not entry, as I will already have a pass) on this page:

http://etickets.coopculture.it/index.php/en/component/snapp/?view=event&id=28410C15-602F-4539-A210-CE0B6183CEFB

there are 2 prices: "free" and regular. Free are 2 euro and regular are 11 (9 + 2 dollar reservation fee). I make 3 "free" (2 euro) reservations for my 3 kids (under 18, entering with us with our passes) and the regular one for us, right?

Thanks, and sorry for the confusion again

Yes, kids under 12 will take the tour for free so book the 2 euros option. Everyone else pays the full adult price. Be sure to bring passports for proof of age for the discounts.

Jessica,

Please note....Since your children's ages are 9, 12 and 14, according to the tripadvisor article that Donna linked, only your 9 year old qualifies for the "Free" tour, so you will only book one "Free" for €2 and 4 regular tickets (€9 plus €2) for the rest of your family, (2 adults, and your 12 and 14 year old children)

Here is an excerpt from the tripadvisor's article:

NOTE: Children 11 and under qualify for a free tour with proof of age. Choose the 2 euros option for them on the booking page. If you are not a child under 12 you will choose the 11 euros tour option not the 2 euros tour option.

You wouldn't want to arrive to the Colosseum only to be told that two of your children don't have tickets for the underground tour!

Enjoy your family trip!
