Cooking experience in Tuscany

Hi,
My family (parents, 10, 12, 14 year old daughters) is staying for 5 days in Figline Valdarno (between Florence and Siena) and we would like to find a "cooking experience" in the area that we can book ahead of time. Simple and rustic is perfect. Any thoughts?

Thanks

I recommend the one-day Tuscan Culinary class in Cortona - see http://www.tuscanculinary.com/. I participated in a class about 4 years ago, with other English-speaking members (from Canada, UK, and Australia) and it was a full day's experience, from reviewing menu over coffee, visiting Cortona shops to select ingredients (butcher, produce market, bakery, cheese, etc). With 7 of us, we cooked a wide range of choices so we had a huge spread of food for lunch and then a whole new array again for dinner, with leftovers you can home (if you're staying somewhere with a fridge!). Great experience!

If Lucca is doable, I know a great cooking school there. PM me if you are interested.

We just returned from Florence and had a wonderful cooking experience with Cook Eat Italian in Manuela’s home on the outskirt of the City of Flornce. It was a wonderful cozy experience. I belive she also offers a country farmhouse experience as well.
