We will be staying just outside Siena later this summer and are interested in taking a one-day cooking class. I've seen several links in posts for classes in or near Florence, but was hoping there would be something closer to our home base. Any ideas?

I just came across this home which is located half way between Siena and Firenze. I'm not sure where you are staying or for how long, but this home is running this current special: For 125 euros per person (from April 1st - June 15th) you can stay in a double room, have breakfast, and one cooking lesson for two people. Additionally, from June 15th - September 15th, every Tuesday guests can visit a local historical wine cellar to taste the wine. http://www.casachianti.it/index_en.php?page=4

We took a class right in Siena with Elisabetta Ungaro
sienaculturacucina@yahoo.com Elisabetta was wonderful. We cooked ravioli, chicken with grapes and Cantocini - a biscotti like dessert served with Vin Santo wine. Was a wonderful experience, highly recommended.
