Cooking classes in Rome, Florence, or Tuscany? Vineyard, wine tasting/tours. Recommendations?

By husband and I would like to do a cooking class while in Italy next May/June. What place is best for a cooking class? And with what company, Restaurant, etc?

Also, we want to book a visit to tour wineries and do tastings in Tuscany where do you recommend? I’d prefer a smaller, intimate place rather than a big tour operation, unless it’s the best way.

We did the Walkabout Tours Cooking class in Florence that is a pizza and gelato making class. I can't tell you how much fun my whole family had and all of the laughter. It was probably one of the best things we did during our 3.5 week tour of Italy. We still talk about that class more than any thing else we did or saw in Italy!!

We’re doing two day trips to wineries from Tuscany when we’re there next week, I’ll let you know if they’re good, etc.

we loved our food tour and cooking class in Rome, the food tour was with Angel Tours www.angeltours.eu I cant find the cooking class guys details but when I do I will post it, his name was Andrea though, together with his wife we had a great night and made our own pasta which we then sat down and ate with the rest of the class.

Our family’s favorite cooking classes this summer (took multiple classes in Florence, Rome and Paris) were with MaMa Florence in Florence. They have a wonderful variety of classes to choose from, are very easy to work with and the chefs are fabulous.

while in rome, check oldfrascatiwinetour.com 30 minutes by train to the countryside, famous for white wines.
come&seeitaly.com has small tours outta florence and even lucca.
a winery in lucca is family owned, frattoriaaldotto.it, small intimate winery and a bus ride away from lucca or a taxi.
eatwith.com
cookly.me
take the train to panzano in chianti and stop at the famous butcher, dario cecchini, and his showmanship the art of cutting meat, love of rock and roll, restaurant across his shop.
tuscan-wine-tours.com
walk through the mercatos in the cities (rome termini and testaccio, florence mercato centrale) very interesting shops, restaurants, cafes everything and anything. i love to look at the pasta and package sauces to bring back home with me.
you will have a great time, sit at cafe with glass of vino, enjoy the italian air, people watch, savor the moment.

My husband and I did this cooking class - https://www.walkaboutflorence.com/tours/cooking-class-at-a-farmhouse-in-tuscany -
during our last trip to Florence. You visit the central market and then get taken by bus to a beautiful farmhouse - purpose built - just outside the city. The house sits among olive tress and looks out towards San Miniato al Monte - its is magical.
The class is great - you get hands on experience making - pasta, pizza, roast pork and potatoes, ragu and tia misu .
Then you get to sit down and eat - with lots of wine and beer!
One of pour best days in Italy.

italymagazine.com/lake-nemi-and-its-wild-berry older story but gives you info about the lake and history of area.
anamericaninrome.com search strawberry festival in nemi, italy
rome-accomodation.net under tourist guides
romeing.it search nemi
withlocals.com has couple day trips if interested. (a day in calcata: bohemian artist village), beautiful countryside day trip; castelli romani the area near where the pope's summer home is and more.
