I would like to know if there are any good Italian cooking classes in or around Florence & Rome. If they included market tours, this would be even better! We will be in Rome & Florence in June.
I've been researching cooking classes too, but for December. Ron in Rome has a good resource: http://www.roninrome.com/?s=cooking+classes.
Around Florence http://www.divinacucina.com/
Judy Witts Francini (www.divinacocina.com) has relocated here cooking school to Colle Val d'Elsa. It's on her website and she mentioned it in an email to me. It appears from her website that she still does some market and other activities in Florence. In Florence, there is Scoula de Arte Culinaria Cordon Bleu (http://www.cordonbleu-it.com/english/about-us.html). My wife and I both took a 1-day class from Cristina and Gabriella at Scoula de Arte. We really enjoyed it. For Judy's classes, it's a great ride on the bus from Florence to the beautiful hilltown of Colle Val d'Elsa.
We took a one night cooking class in Florence. Maybe 3 blocks the other side of the river from the main part of Florence. Easy walk. It's the cooking class available through Viators. We enjoyed it. It was demonstration and also experiential. 4 students at a station, sharing the cooking. Followed by dinner with wine. Have fun.
