Cooking classes for the whole family in Florence or Rome?

Can anyone recommend a cooking class for the whole family (kids from 9-16) in Florence or Rome? We thought that would be a lot of fun during our upcoming vacation. I've seen a lot of places advertised, with random reviews, so I don't know what's really best or not. We're open to anything, whether pizza-making or pasta or something else entirely. I don't want to spend more than 50-60 euros per person.

On a RS tour 2 summers ago, we did this cooking class in Florence.

It's very close to the Piti Palace and other great places.

We split up into groups and created a 3 course lunch....cooked it and then ate downstairs in a wine cellar. It was a nice change. The chefs were nice and amusing.

Overall, it was a memorable experience.

I have not been to Italy however will be in Florence in early July. A friend recommended "accidential tourist" which we might try because she said they take you to see how olive oil is made, then wine after you make & cook pasta at their castle - 15 minutes outside Florence... they pick you up in Florence.

We have booked a cooking class in a villa outside Rome thru Love for Food in September. They also offer several classes in Rome including a pizza making class. Check out loveforfood.net.

I highly recommend FlorenceTown http://www.florencetown.com/
I took some classes with them last year [pizza, gelato and pasta making, as well as some wine tasting] and they were wonderful! Hands on, informative and accommodating. I will definitely use them again.
