In Varenna, Ristorante il Caminetto has a wonderful cooking class. He picks you up in Varenna, takes you to his restaurant, where you eat, drink, watch cooking demonstrations and (in our case) make tortellini. A highlight of our trip to Varenna.

We took the class at Il Caminetto too. What a riot. Plenty of vino. Good people. Great food. And yes - tortellini!

Granddaughters took 2 cooking classes at MaMa Florence in Florence last month. The front office was so responsive and accommodating. The classes were wonderful, some of the best they took in their 3 week food odyssey from Italy to Paris.
