Anyone know of any reasonably priced 1/2 day Italian cooking classes in any towns between Rome and Sorrento? My 3 sons (ages 24,21,18) and I love to cook. Most courses in the major cities charge 150 to200 Euros per person which is cost prohibitive for me.
Jeffrey, I too have been researching this. You can check out www.cookingclassesinrome.com. It has good reviews on Trip Advisor and the cost is 65 Euros per person. Hope that helps. Have a great trip.
We took that same class last month from Chef Andrea in Rome (Trastevere neighborhood). It was a lot of fun and I can recommend it to you. Cost was 65 euros per person, more if you want the wine flight to go with the meal. It's in English, though the chef is Roman. His American girlfriend coordinates the details. www.cookingclassesinrome.com
Susan and Michael, THANK YOU for sharing this great cooking class source. I just checked out their web site, and they look incredible, and what a reasonable price, too. I've printed it out for the next time I get to Italy. I also noticed in one of the photos, the class prepared those fabulous long-stem artichokes -- they are soooo good. Jeffrey, based on the great questions you are asking on this site, you and your family are in for a fabulous trip.
Credit should go where it is due. I found that class through the amazing Ron in Rome: http://www.roninrome.com/%20shopping-dining/cooking-classes-in-rome
