Cooking class or other activities near Barga?

Can anyone recommend a cooking class or other activity (spa perhaps?) near Barga? i am looking for ways to spend my days while my spouse attends a conference at Il Ciocco Hotel Resort, which I believe is near Barga. I will likely have a car.
