Cooking class in Rome?

Anyone know of a half-day cooking class in Rome, in area near public transport? I had a one-day course in Tuscany a few years ago, in English, and would like a similar but different course in Rome mid-May, while travel companions tour other areas.

Hi Sharon,

A quick search and the popular tour companies Walks of Italy and The Roman Guy came up. Check it out and see if this is something you would like to participate with.

Also a very interesting read, this has a full day from "market to plating" https://www.epiphanytotravel.com/cooking-class-rome-italy/

As they say in Italy, buon Appetito

Girasole, thanks for the links, i’ll check those out. The class I took in Cortona was a full day, market to plating experience. It was awesome! It was a small group of 5 - 2 from Australia, 2 from Canada (with one of those originally from UK), and me from Southern US. Have you done any if the Rome classes?

It has been awhile, but my wife took this class in Rome... https://www.cookingclassesinrome.com/

The Chef, Andrea Consoli, worked in the US for awhile, the class was easy to get to (in the Trastevere), and he was able to accommodate a single person, mixing her in with another group. He also was able to adjust to her dietary needs (She does not eat meat, but will do seafood and dairy).

Maybe different from other classes, it did not include a "market tour", but that did mean it fit into a half day. She had fun, a highlight of her week (I was in meetings all week), and I have seen other positive reviews on this site. You can also do a search on here, there are certainly past discussions on this.

Hi Sharon,

You are welcome.

To answer your question, no I have not tried any cooking classes in Rome. Maybe I will on another trip. 🍝🥘🍷

I took the same class Paul’s wife took with Chef Andrea a couple of years ago. It was definitely a highlight!

Thanks, Paul and Kristen! That looks perfect! I’ve submitted a request to that class for one of the dates we’ll be in Rome, so keeping fingers crossed! Thanks!
