Can anyone recommend a good one day/half day cooking class or cooking school in Italy? I am traveling to Sorrento, Rome, Cinque Terre, Venice and Stresa - Thank you.
I found my wife this one:
http://www.cookingclassesinrome.com/
She really enjoyed it, even though a group is required, we emailed and gave a range of dates and he included her in a group.
They just happen to have an opening when I'm in Rome, so I've signed up. Many thanks for your help.
Hello,
I have been to his class and it is AWESOME!
Very cheap, only 50 Euros compared to the 175Euros most places will charge you.
He also teaches you and interacts with everyone..I did another in Florence and it was nothing like Chef Andreas class..I am doing again when I return in Sept..can't wait!
You will have a great time, let me know how it goes!

Wow, I can't wait! I'll definitely get back to you and let you know how it went. Thank you!
Claire, if you're going to be in Sorrento, please consider Mamma Agata's Cooking Class in Ravello, from 10 to 5pm. Go to www.mammaagata.com for directions by car. Or, take the earliest bus (or ferry) Sorrento-to-Amalfi Town, then a 30-min. bus to Ravello. Yes, it costs more than others, but there is simply NO experience like it! I'm a free-lance food writer (retired, uncompensated) and I know good food and cooking when I see it. Chiara (daughter) is absolutely delightful with her knowledgeable running commentary while Mamma cooks. Hint: consider staying one night in Amalfi, as I did. Sharon House, about 80e, or Floridiana 75e (prices in May) Peg
