I was hoping to stay at the Suore di Santa Elisabetta in Rome. But they are not responding to emails at the address listed in the Rick Steve's Rome travel book, or the phone number. Can anyone advise on the best way to try to book a room at this convent? Other websites? Tips/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
Hi Mark Have you visited the website? This is the info on the website: 00184 Roma, via dell'Olmata, 9; tel.: 06.4888271; fax: 06.4884066; e-mail: [email protected] Link to website:

I would suggest trying someplace else. Seriously. Have you considered the Beehive? (I'm assuming you're on a small budget.)
Thanks for the reply Sandra! Yes I tried sending an email to the address posted on there website but havent heard anything. Also, I called and spoke with someone that a knew little English, but they told me to call back. I dont think they understood that I was asking about if a room was available for the dates I wanted. And if I could book it for those nights. Any suggestions on what else to do/try? Thanks
Realize also some of the convents only speak Italian or they may be completely full. Rome is a pilgrimage location. gd luck.
Perhaps try faxing? Or go to santasusanna.org for assistance.
