Help, I just heard there is alot of construction going on inside the coloseum making it unpleasant n hard to see? has anyone experienced this as of 5/1/07? if true any suggestions around it? we still want to see it.

I visited the Coloseum on 4/30/07. There was construction but it no way did it prevent you from appreciating the site. The rain was more of a nuisance than anything else.

I have been to Rome many times and there is always some part of the Colisseum under restoration. It won't take away from your visit.

In fact most of Rome is under some sort of continual refurbishment any time you go. I'm glad they DO maintain these places.
