Consorzio Airport Shuttle - Rome

Don't do this.

Booked a pickup from our hotel online before we left the US. Got the info from Rick's Italy 2015. Never did receive a confirmation though they did bill our credit card.

Very difficult to contact to confirm our pickup. They don't appear to have an email address and it took 10 tries to get through on the phone.

Then the car DIDN'T SHOW UP. It was 4am and we had non-refundable tickets. They didn't answer their phone.

Fortunately, we were able to get a cab and get to the airport in time. Book with these folks at your own risk.

Please remove this recommendation from the 2016 Italy book.

For this kind of pick up, we always let the hotel book it. We figure that the shuttle service has an incentive to keep the hotel and therefore, us, happy. There are some things that work well being prearranged, others not so well. This is one time when you want it to work absolutely.
