Connection to Italy in Amsterdam

I'm flying into Venice in October on a single-booking ticket from Seattle to Amsterdam on a Delta flight, then on to Venice on Alitalia.
Arriving in AMS 1pm, leaving AMS on Alitalia 2:30pm.
Do I have enough time to do this? I'll be carrying-on my little bag (I hope), and assume I'm going to go through Euro entry/customs there at AMS. Correct?
Anyone else done this connection? Are there different terminals involved? If I don't have enough time and miss the Alitalia flight, will Delta take care of me since it's their booking? Any other tips I'm not thinking to ask about? Thanks.

If you miss your flight Delta/Alitalia will book you on the next flight, as they are obligated to do.

I've gone through Amsterdam 3 times, twice with the same amount of time you have and once with about an hour and had ample time to get to the connection. Immigration was always pretty quick and the airport is layed out pretty good. You should be fine.
