I am flying American to FCO and will arrive early AM, 9:00 ish. Will I make a connecting Ryan Air flight to Sicily at 11?
Will you have baggage to retrieve and recheck?
Will your flight into Rome be on time? How risk adverse are you? Looks like you received many responses to this question a month ago. Did folks miss something? Good luck!

It barely works if your flight is on time and immigration/passport is adequately staff. You have to go through immigration, customs, and security again. Lot depends on the crowds. Second, what is the cut off time for check in with Ryan Air? That is critical because I know it is NOT 10.55. Too tight for me. I would book an afternoon flight and have lunch at the airport.
Since you have asked the same question several times do you not like our answers or are you hoping that the answers will change over time. What you are asking, is not smart. You can try it but have a good plan B in place.
Have you already bought tickets or are you still shopping?
Based on your other post some of your group will have checked bags. In that scenario you will need Tinkerbell to spread some pixie dust to make the 2 hour transfer possible. ( immigration; bag retrieval; re deposit bag; security; get to next gate)

Probably not.

Didn’t miss anything. Appreciate the info. No back age to collect or check. I was uncertain if we need to do immigration and security or just immigration. Thank you .
Maybe, maybe not. I would not risk it.
Ryanair check in policy

You should be at the boarding gate for your flight at least 30 minutes before the departure time. The boarding gate will close 20 minutes before departure. If you arrive at the boarding gate later than this, you will not be allowed on the plane. If you want to travel on a later flight, you will have to pay the appropriate fare for that flight.
With carry on only, and if it conforms to ryanair requirements, you have a really tight window of success.
Good luck
In September 2022, after arriving and exiting immigration etc, we had to board an elevator (not escalator) to go to the upper floor (this was for car rental but I assume same is for re-entry into the terminals). We had to wait about 15 minutes for the elevator, as only one out of two was working.
It is stuff like this that will slow you down...
However we did get through the immigration part in less than one hour.
Good luck!
