I have been looking online to purchase tickets for the Vatican museum for May5th 2011. The offical Vatican site says you can't purchase tickets more than 60 days ahead of time. Another site will let me purchase the tickets but the price is a lot more. Can someone please clarify this for me.

The other site is probably a middleman/ticket broker, which is why you have the higher fee. I would wait til 60 days out and buy your tickets from the official Vatican site, unless you have a compelling reason to do otherwise.

The other site will buy the same tickets you can at 60 days out. Just wait and buy them from the vatican and avoid the extra fee. They sell tons of tickets for different times during the day so just start checking about 60 days out to make sure you get the time you want. donna
