I have never personally flown Condor but they have been flying direct Las Vegas to Frankfurt for years. The positive is that there is no stopping on the east coast of the U.S. They fly older aircraft and I don't find them to be any cheaper than British Airways, which has impeccable service, and lands you in London. If you are going to Germany it is nice to have the nonstop service.

I believe they are former charter arm of Lufthansa. I think they are still owned by them - but check Wikipedia for the true facts.

Flew Condor Seattle to Frankfurt last month. Check-in was OK, but the planes are old 767-300s. Flight out was uncomfortably hot and cramped; the interior was that of the older version (small TVs)and not up to standards expected. Service was ho-hum. The worst was the 'food'. All carbs, poor presentation with plastic utensils, and if you like minimal supply of liquids, Condor is yours. Return flight was marred by an odd check-in at the terminal. As in Seattle, a ground crew staffer snooped around to identify oversize carry-ons. Then we had to check in on boarding pass - twice! The plane was a bit roomier, and it had larger TVs in the central aisle. Once again, food was crummy, and drinks tiny. I had protected myself by bringing on extra food, esp. protein (meats) and liquids. Just right, at least for me. The biggest insult was the final meal: a warm brezn, but cold, tasteless potato salad and a small, cold breaded chicken (?) cutlet. The streuselkuchen at least was edible. Despite the much lower cost, Condor can't compete with big sister Lufthansa on service and comfort. Recommended only for budget travelers who bring their own food and drink (be sure to eat your meats before arriving back in America).

When are you going? I think Condor is stopping service to/from Seattle at the end of April next year.
