Como ferry question - how to read schedule

Probably a dumb question.....

I am looking at the new ferry schedule. Are the actual ferries easy to find? I am seeing "course" numbers such as B154 and T104 and T606, etc. Are these actual boat numbers? Slip numbers? Are they easy to distinguish apart?

Thanks.

Hi Marie. There are many different ferries on Lake Como. Are you asking about the mid lake ferries between Varenna, Bellagio, etc.? If so, they are very easy to find, and if you're just going from one town to another, you can ignore the corse numbers. In what town will you be staying / starting? If Varenna, there is just one ferry dock you can't miss, and there will be a big sign saying where the next ferry is going, plus a board showing the times and destinations of the next five ferries. Have a great trip!

Thank you. Yes - it was the course numbers that seem all over the place - they must have some meaning..... We are staying in Bellagio. But taking the train to Varenna and going over to Bellagio for the first time. I have read that the ferries are down a path from the train station, but wasn't sure what I would find once I got to the docks. Thank you.

Marie, not to worry. When you walk downhill towards the lake in Varenna, the dock and ferry will be pretty obvious. And there will be signage.
