Sixt car rental company appears to have better rates for what I want to do, and from other readers comments, it is not too difficult to get out of Florence with sixt because of where they are located in Florence. Does anyone have any experience with this company. Good or bad? Recommend or not? I plan to rent in Florence and drop off in Rimini.

I've been renting cars from Sixt all over Europe for more than 10 years now and not once did I have to regret having done so. Great company, great service, even in countries where they are just a franchise. In countries Sixt own the entire business you always get BMWs, Mercedeses or Volkswagens. In Ireland they're "just" a franchise and you get brand new Hyundais, in Scotland Fords in Spain Fiats and SEATs.
