Early in the AM, departing sant'angelo del pesco for maratea. It's located inland, south of Chieti. We're driving. Really want to do Amalfi and Pompeii on our way to Maratea so we dont have to double back. It seems it will take us 3 hours to get to Pompeii from Sant'Angelo... do we dare to drive the Amalfi southbound? or should we head straight to Salerno and double back going North to Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii? Am I crazy to think we can do this all in one day? I think Maratea is another 3 hrs or so South from Pompeii, so I realize its a good bit of driving. Would love the advise of someone who has driven the Amalfi loop.
