We just had to switch around our travel plans...we leave on May 5th... and need to find a nice, clean, friendly hotel in Sorrento that doesnt break the bank.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We stayed last year at the Ulisse Deluxe Hostel (really nice hotel with private room and bathroom...not like a hostel at all). It was a great deal, very nice, and we booked it fairly last minute without a problem. They also had convenient parking if you are looking for that. We definitely booked it for the price not the non-existent views...it was a good location just a 5 minute walk to the 'main action', maybe 10 minutes to the train station, and close to the marina/fishing harbour Marina Grande which had a couple of great restaurants.

You'll get better responses if you define your budget in terms of dollars or euros. One man's cheap is another man's pricey. Happy travels.

If you use this site you can search by location and budget http://www.venere.com/italy/sorrento/?ref=27053 There are quite a few small hotels in and around the town centre that may suit. If you are looking for sea views the cost will rise considerably.
