We were in Rome 5 years ago and bought our combo ticket at the forum ticket office and entered there making our way to the colosseum. No tour group just on our own. Heading back this Saturday and wanted to do the same thing but I’m reading that you have to have a reserved time in order to see the colosseum?? We don’t want a tour, just on our own again starting from the forum entrance. Is this no longer possible?
