It seems that the underground tickets are sold out for June. Just wondering what the difference would be for the regular entrance tour tickets and the Belvedere Tour tickets. Has anyone been on either or those tours. Can you still visit the other portions of the Colosseum or are you limited to one area? Should I just buy entrance tickets and skip the tour

The regular tour takes you through the areas of the colosseum that are open to the general public. The Belvedere tour takes you to the upper levels of the colosseum that can only be visited while on a tour. After both tours you can remain inside the colosseum and explore the areas open to the general public.

I did the Belvedere tour,l choose this as l get a better view from looking down .We went to
levels 3,4 and five,amazing views not only of the colossal you could see the city for kms.I don't remember the young guides name,was a very informed tour by an archaeologist .Think my hubby enjoyed as much as l.Quite a steep climb.
