We are heading to Rome this month and I didn't realize that the Colosseum underground tour would sell out months in advance, my son REALLY wanted to go underground. I found on this site where several people recommended booking the tour in Spanish because it doesn't sell out as quickly. Well I did, and now I'm regretting that decision. Have any of you done this tour and do you have suggestions on how we can prepare for the tour and understand what we are looking at? I emailed the site and there is no audio for that particular tour. We are doing the Colosseum at night underground tour. Any help at all is appreciated.

You can book an entry ticket, visit during the day time and take the regular tour of the colosseum. Do this the same day as your night tour. The information on the tours is the same. The only difference is where you go. This will give you an understand of what you will see that night and also give you the opportunity to visit the colosseum during the day. Also, the night tour does not include entry to the forum/palatine hill. Regular entry tickets will allow you to visit those sites as well.
