I am trying to book a colosseum underground tour for my husband and myself in September. I have looked at past discussions on this and gone to the website, but they won't let me book in September. Why is this? Does anyone know a site that will?

Historically, the colosseum has not released dates for September until mid August. They've done it this way for the past several years. You just need to keep checking the website. Any other sites that offer September tickets are just guessing that the tour will be conducted in the fall. They don't know for sure. Just wait until the official site releases the dates. With the refurbishment going on it might impact the touring schedule. Donna

Thanks Donna! That makes me feel better, I was beginning to worry that they were already sold out. I will take your advise and keep checking.

Hi Stephanie,
We are going in Sept & had the same problem. I called last week and was told to check back sometime in August. Also, in case you are going to the Vatican I just booked tix as they don't go on sale until 60 days prior. Safe Travels!
