Hi All,
We booked Walks of Italy VIP Colosseum Underground, Forum & Palatine Hill and notice that the Belvedere section of the Colosseum is not included. We would like to go up and see the sights. Can we walk up there on our own after the tour? I would assume we would have to go with the group to the Forum & Palatine Hill, which we want to do, and then could we go back to the Colosseum for the Belvedere? Without getting in a long line and paying again?

Dan, the Belvedere is closed to visitors; you can't see it either on a tour or on your own. Even when it was open it was never accessible to visitors outside of a tour.

It has been closed to restoration work for some time; no word when tours of that area will resume again.
Well.... That takes care of that! Thanks Kathy, we'll have to try to find something else to do for the 5 days we're there. Hope we can stay busy LOL!
LOL, Dan! There's more to do in Rome than you can shake un bastone at! The Belvedere, on a tour, wouldn't have eaten considerable time anyway. If you need some ideas, tell us what you already have on your list, and what you are interested in doing/seeing?
Oh, and once you leave the Colosseum with your WOI tour, you can't get in again without an additional advance, timed-entry ticket. I'm not sure they're even selling those at the Colosseum as the websites states "Reservation required online and by phone also for the same day of the visit."
