Today I was notified by Trip Advisor that their LivItaly Tours had to cancel their Colosseum Underground and Ancient Rome Small-Group Tour Thursday, September 19. I can find “skip the line” tours for the Forum & Palatine Hill that don’t include the underground and will consider those, but we are also open to other ideas. Since we are 4 people, we wonder if anyone could recommend a guide that could get the “skip the line” tickets. We are open to ideas for a walking tour for 4 people on either Thursday, September 19 or Friday, September 20 that includes the Colosseum underground floor & Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. We also wonder if the underground part of the tour is unavailable for all for those dates.

When we were in Rome, we used the Rick Steves audio tours and found them extremely informative. We didn't go underground, but the audio tour took us step by step through the Forum. I highly recommend it.

Try Through Eternity Tours, https://www.througheternity.com/en/rome-tours/ I'm not sure if they have exactly what you are looking for in one package but they do have several Colosseum options. We used Through Eternity for the Colosseum/Forum as well as the Vatican. By far the best tour company we've used in Europe. Especially loved their Vatican tour.

Thank you for all your suggestions. We booked a Through Eternity Colosseum Tour including underground tunnels and arena floor; a guided tour of the Palatine Hill and Roman Forum.
